Bremont announces new group of global retailers

British watch brand Bremont has had a busy week expanding its international distribution network both in Europe and the Far East.

The Henley-on-Thames watchmaker has today announced its watches will go on sale within three retail locations operated by historic Hong Kong department store Lane Crawford, which opened in 1850. The announcement supports last year’s opening of Bremont’s own boutique in Hong Kong.

Giles English, Bremont Co-founder, said: “It has been fantastic having a foothold for Bremont in Greater China and we have been delighted with the response to the brand both in the Hong Kong and China markets but it is certainly time to grow our distribution in this region and we are very excited about building on this with Lane Crawford.”

Bremont began the week announcing a retail partnership with high-end independent Italian boutique, Cristilli, in Rome. The family-run business was established 45 years ago and is now managed by the third-generation of the family.

Gianluca Cristilli commented: “I look for detail in everything I sell and the Bremont watches are full of detail. The way the whole watch is finished is exceptional; from the glass, case, movement, overall design, it is all absolutely beautiful. Furthermore I truly love the timeless look of all the watches. This aspect, combined with the quality, will be very important to my customers.”

Spain followed shortly after, with news that Bremont watches would now be sold in Barcelona’s The Watch Gallery, close to the Barcelona FC’s stadium, Nou Camp. Bremont’s range will be available at the store, which began life as part of London’s The Watch Gallery before being taken on by English businesswoman Priscilla Newman, from tomorrow.

Newman added: “We have been following Bremont for some time, and naturally also keep in close contact with our previous sister store in London. Having seen the significant growth of the brand it was definitely the right time to include Bremont in our portfolio.”
