Breguet hosts French Royal Navy tribute exhibit

Breguet has opened a historical exhibition, running until August, in celebration of the brand’s history as horologer for the French Royal Navy.

The showcase will be hosted at its Geneva boutique and will recount its history going back as far as 1815, when King Louis XVIII of France awarded Abraham-Louis Breguet the prestigious title of “Horologer to the French Royal Navy”.

As a past tribute the brand created the first watches in its Marine collection back in 1990, in reference to the models developed by A-L Breguet.

The new showcase will include models new and old, including “exceptional historical models from the Breguet Museum collections”, as well as releases from this year’s BaselWorld.
