Bransom stocktake system looks to the cloud

Bransom’s latest live stocktaking system uses cloud technology to offer a quicker more efficient user experience.

The new web-based bsmart2 system incorporates scanners, tills, smartphones and tablet devices to streamline the process of stocktaking.

Bransom’s approach removes the need for the traditional dedicated ‘time-consuming and mundane’ stocktake by connecting directly to cloud servers, where stock counts are entered or scanned live via a range of platform-independent devices including tills, smartphones, or tablets.

Data can be entered using the shop’s own stock number, alternate stock number, supplier’s stock code and barcode, with automatic cross- referencing.

Bransom has also developed printable barcode display tray sheets to make identification and data entry far quicker, including sheets for Pandora collections.

The system is able to handle multiple stocktake sessions simultaneously, and even allows multiple zones or areas to be checked at the same time. Every individual count is instantly entered to the server, where reports can also be generated both during and after the stocktaking session. Management can then select and review all current and completed sessions, and so query or deal with unexpected variations immediately.
