BOSS Watches to offer prizes through QR campaign

The Hugo Boss licensed watch collection BOSS Watches, distributed in the UK by MGS Distribution, has launched its latest customer promotion using smartphone-scannable QR codes.

The QR code initiative will by lead by a POS campaign in shop jewellery and watch retailers’ windows across the UK.

Consumers can download software to their smartphones enabling them to scan the digital code, which produce a link taking them directly to the BOSS Watches site and a competition section.

Those taking part have the chance to win prizes including BOSS watches and a VIP night out in London.

Steve Brydon, sales director at MGS Distribution, said the use of QR codes is a novel approach to window promotion.

“Using advanced technology such as QR code scanners, tells our customers and retailers that, as a brand we are up-to-date and constantly moving with the innovative structure of the consumer society. We are hoping this will encourage the customer to look further in to Hugo Boss as a brand and to become more aware of BOSS Watches being a top fashion brand within this sector.”

“A good retailer understands one of the most important sales tools they have in their armoury are their windows. It is where a consumer forms their first impression of the store and the products it offers,” he said.

BOSS Watches “aims to change its in-store POS materials every eight to ten weeks” with innovative visual displays designed to stop and entice customers to look at jewellers’ displays.

“At Boss Watches we understand the importance of this concept and our watch display becomes our ‘window within a window’. The POS we supply must keep our brand fresh and alive for the retailer and consumer alike.”

The QR codes window campaign will run from April 28 and May 31.
