Borro holds watches valuation open day in London

Finance expert Borro is holding an open day next month to encourage the public and trade professionals to bring in luxury watches and jewellery to be valued.

The open day, which takes place on June 18 at London’s Chancery Lane, will feature a range of expert valuers with specialist knowledge of the history, market demand and saleability of key brands.

Every appraisal will assess:

  • The watch brand and model
  • Its condition, and whether restoration will add value
  • The model’s scarcity and whether there is demand for certain pieces
  • Its age, its provenance ad whether all the correct packaging and paperwork is available.

“In addition, our valuers combine their own current market knowledge with insights from manufacturer databases, when available; this includes Rolex and Breitling repair centres as well as auction records, from auction houses themselves and third-party data collectors. As part of our diligence we also look for a match with registers of lost and stolen items,” the company explains.

Borro executives will be on hand to discuss loans to individuals and businesses secured against luxury assets.

Appointments are available from 10am – 7pm at 53-64 Chancery Lane.
