Georg Jensen continues to expand its London retail presence with the opening of a flagship boutique on Mayfair’s Mount Street.
In the last few months the Danish silversmith and watch brand has doubled its UK retail footprint to over 3,000sq ft with boutique openings in London’s Royal Exchange building and Westfield London.
The 175sq m boutique at 89 Mount Street has been designed by Danish interior architect David Thulstrup and his eponymous design studio. The space offers a ‘gallery-like environment’, created from marble and warm slatted-wood, for the complete collection. The design mixes clean Scandinavian minimalism with Art Deco touches.
The brand, which is being re-invigorated following its 2012 acquisition by Investcorp, also has concessions at The Wonder Room at Selfridges and the silverware department at Harrods.
Internationally Georg Jensen has also opened boutiques in Munich and Oslo as well as an innovative concept store in Beijing, Georg Jensen Hus, this year.
