Blancpain has launched its new Villeret Grande Date watch, which is powered by the brand’s calibre 6950 movement.
This automatic movement has two mainspring barrels and a date mechanism designed to resist shocks, while it also has a free spring balance with a silicium spiral and regulated by gold screws.
The new timepiece follows in the design footsteps of the wider Villeret collection, which are Blancpain’s most classical watches.
Other features of the watch include a red gold 40 mm double pomme case, an opaline dial with applied Roman numerals, red gold hands, date display at 6 o’clock, and a clear sapphire caseback offering a view of the finishing of the movement and its honeycomb-pattern oscillating weight.
Completing the look of the new Villeret Grande Date is a chocolate brown alligator strap.
