Big name speakers at Internet Retail Conference

Top names in fashion are scheduled to speak at the Internet Retail Conference (IRC), which takes place on October 16 at the Novotel in Hammersmith, London.

Retail legend Sir Stuart Rose, who has worked for Marks & Spencer, Fat Face and Ocado, amongst others, will speak about customers, the retail business and the industry’s future. Keynote speaker and M&S board member Laura Wade-Gery will address the company’s journey to cross-channel operations with a focus on digital technology.

Also present will be French retailing magnate Ilan Benhaim, cofounder of vente-privée.com, who will travel from Paris to speak to retailers about developing their top line by establishing an international presence and applying cross channelling strategies.

Discussing the conference’s importance for the retail sector, editor-in-chief Ian Jindal stated: "Over the last eight years IRC has brought the board-level conversation to life in an intense, multi stream day.

"The conference is at the nexus of multi-channel retail, crossing skill silos, professional domains, business sector and country boundaries. From our keynotes to our workshops, via the expert speakers and our compact expo, the Internet Retailing Conference is the best use of a day out of the office for senior, strategic commercial leaders."

The conference is now in its eighth year and will welcome 45 retailers and over 500 delegates.
