Bering unveils first diamond-set watches

Bering has unveiled the next generation of its limited-edition fundraising watches and the new designs are the first Bering timepieces to be set with diamonds.

The slimline ceramic watches have four diamonds on the dials marking 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock, and have gold, black and silver colour options.

The watches, which are an extension to Bering’s Time to Care range which donates 100% of profits raised to the Polar Bear Foundation, have been limited to just 1,000 pieces worldwide.

The previous editions of Time to Care watches have proved to be hugely popular with Bering UK director Henrik Leth Møller describing the watches as becoming “collectors’ items” due to the rarity of the editions. He added: “We still get calls about those watches.”

Møller is uncertain how many of the diamond-set limited editions the UK market will receive but said that he is working “to get as many as he can”.

The watches will be available to enter stores in summer and will have retail prices of between £199 and £239. Bering is presently showing the watches at the Houlden Group buying meeting in Sussex this week.

Bering recently presented a cheque to The Polar Bear Foundation for US$75,000, which was generated from the profits of the previous Time to Care range.
