Bering is launching a marketing initiative in the UK called the Bering Ice Bar Events.
The watch brand will kick off the series of events on December 14 at Bentalls Department Store in Bracknell, Berkshire.
For the event Bering will set up a bar serving free ice tea to the public and will offer them the chance to win a Bering watch or a piece of Bering jewellery of their choice. Shoppers will be encouraged by the Ice Bar staff to speak to sales staff in Bentalls to find out more about the brand and to try on the brand’s products.
The watch brand has already tested out such events elsewhere in the world but this is the first time that the initiative is being brought to the UK.
Bering area sales manager Steve Todd told WatchPro: "We have enjoyed success in Europe and as far away as Singapore with similar events, sometimes drawing up to 500 people.
"We hope that the Bering Ice Bar Event will draw the public’s attention to the brand now that it is available in over 300 British and Irish outlets. This type of activity will take Bering on to the next level to become a household name."
