Benedetti visits for Chisholm Hunter exclusive

Raymond Weil ambassador Nicola Benedetti, the internationally renowned classical violinist, today unveiled her special edition timepiece to the world during an exclusive visit to Chisholm Hunter’s Silverburn store in Glasgow.

Benedetti chose the store due to its close proximity to her hometown, a decision that Chisholm Hunter’s managing director, Harry Brown, is very happy with. “We are thrilled to have been selected by Raymond Weil as the first retailer worldwide to host Nicola to unveil her special edition timepiece and our luxury Silverburn flagship store that offers the ideal platform,” he said.

The watch itself is a collaborative effort between both Benedetti and Elie Bernheim, the global CEO of Raymond Weil. The design features a chocolate-brown satin strap and contrasting anodized dial that is inspired by the maple hues of Nicola’s rare 1717 Stradivarius violin. The special edition timepiece is set with an 80-diamond bezel and 11-diamond-dot dial – priced at £1,695 and limited to 500 pieces worldwide. It’s part of the new toccata collection and will launch officially in retail in September.

Bernheim continues to be delighted with the brand’s ongoing relationship with Benedetti. “We first met Nicola approximately three years ago at The Classic BRIT Awards and immediately became inspired by her extraordinary talent as a musician and wonderful philanthropic work. It has been a joy to collaborate on the design process with Nicola and we look forward to the retail launch of her special edition toccata in September,” said Bernheim.

And Benedetti herself was equally enthusiastic about continuing her role as a music ambassador for Raymond Weil. “This collaboration is my first brand partnership. Historically the Raymond Weil family has been a dedicated supporter of music and the arts and CEO, Elie Bernheim, has a true understanding of its power. I am thrilled to partner with a company I feel so aligned with on so many levels”.
