Bell & Ross has launched new version of its PW1 and WW1 models made with Argentium, a tarnish resistant alloy that has also grown in use in jewellery.
The brand says that by using an oxidation resistant alloy it is reviving “a forgotten metal”.
The metal has a bright white colour and a lustrous appearance. Bell & Ross has used it for two models: the PW1 Repetition Minutes pocket watch and the Vintage WW1 Argentium.
The PW1 has a 49mm Argentium case with AR-coated sapphire crystal and a sterling silver chain while the WW1 model has a 41mm Argentium case and a Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber Peseux 7001.
The timepieces come with a choice of silver or grey ruthenium dials with sunburst design.
