Baume & Mercier is displaying a specially commissioned sculpture by Sally McKay at its outlet in Harrods Fine Watch Room this month.
The installation celebrates the launch of the luxury watch brand’s Promesse ladies collection, which was launched globally in June.
Sally McKay’s sculpture portrays a “pinkie promise” – two hands with the two little fingers entwined. The hand-crafted sculpture signifies a long lasting bond between two people capturing and cementing this special moment.
The sculpture chimes with the positioning of the Promesse collection, which draws inspiration from the love locks that are attached to bridges in Paris by romantic couples. “Baume & Mercier has adapted the concept to celebrate and emphasise the special promise that this act creates between two individuals,” the company says.
The sculpture will be displayed in a special Promesse exhibition in the Fine Watch Room on the Ground Floor at Harrods during the month of September.
