Baume & Mercier marks continuing presence at Harrods with two exclusive models

Baume & Mercier is marking its continuing presence at Harrods with the creation of two exclusive timepieces for the London department store.

The watches, both from within the Clifton family, will only be on sale at Harrods.

First is a Clifton 1892 Flying Tourbillon watch in 18ct rose gold with a slate grey dial; second is a Clifton Perpetual Calendar in a rose gold case.

The Clifton 1892 Flying Tourbillon uses a manually-wound mechanical caliber (P591) controlled by a flying tourbillon produced by the Val Fleurier movement manufacturer.

The Clifton Perpetual Calendar, which masters one of the horological world’s most challenging complications, keeps time across the full four year cycle of the Gregorian calendar, including the leap year’s additional day of February 29.

Harrods is midway through a massive reworking of its Fine Watch Room, which will fully reopen in the new year over two floors with its own street entrance.
