Tudor watches has announced that the historic Rolex sister brand is to launch in the UK market from September.
The news was the first big announcement from BaselWorld 2014 and came as the brand launched a new entry level model the Heritage Ranger.
The 41mm automatic watch evokes 20th Century exploration with leather cuff strap, and optional metal bracelet or leather strap, and a military-inspired domed dial and domed crystal, both typical features of watches in the 1950s. Each watch will also ship with camouflage fabric strap.
Raised painted luminous Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions on the matt black dial complete the rugged, outdoors look.
Both dial and crown are marked with the historic Tudor rose as opposed to the modern Tudor Shield logo reserved for the brand’s contemporary models.
Tudor will bring the Heritage Ranger, and its newly launched Midnight Blue Heritage Black Bay, to the UK later this year.
