Audemars Piguet supports tech entrepreneur forum

Audemars Piguet immersed itself in the world of technology business leaders last week as official partner and timekeeper of the Founders Forum in London.

The event brings together global CEOs and leading tech entrepreneurs over two days to reflect on the past decade of digital economy evolution in Europe and explore what’s next.

In a sign that historic Swiss watchmakers are paying close attention to the threat and opportunities posed by smartwatches, Audemars Piguet’s CEO François-Henry Bennahmias took part in a discussion focused on the future of Wearable Technology.

AP also presented the Audemars Piguet One to Watch award. This prize recognises a young, “disruptive” entrepreneur changing the face of technology.

A shortlist of new companies was deliberated on by a panel of judges including Thomas Hoegh of Art Alliances, Niklas Zennström founder of Skype and Edward Wray co-founder of BetFair.

The winner of the 2015 award was William Shu from Deliveroo, a food delivery company that lets people order takeaways from their favourite local restaurants.
