Atelier Loiseau together with Girard-Perregaux took part in the Young Watchmakers Tour in Tokyo and Beijing recently.
Dominique Loiseau participated in a talk show on the future of manufacture in Tokyo on June 16. He also attended the launch of Girard-Perregaux’s haute horlogerie collection, at Tokyo’s Teien store.
At the event in Beijing, Loiseau and Alexander Bigler, one of Christie’s watchmaking experts, led a discussion about the art of giving time, machines’ fabrication and the heritage of great classic timepieces.
Loiseau said that he was honoured to be in Beijing.
“Since more than a couple of centuries Girard-Perregaux is making history. Tradition is before all and without any compromise made of know-how and fundamental respect for the unchanging rules of mechanic.“
“But, without creativity, tradition can be a bad habit. It is essential to try to create watches capable to move our contemporaries as well as future generations,” he said.
