Apple Watch Availability At Apple Store Puerta Del Sol Madrid

KGI Securities, an analyst widely respected by the tech world for its inside track on developments at Apple, is reporting that a new Apple Watch will launch later this year with improved battery life enabling a clutch of new applications.

Two new models are expected before the end of the year, one an incremental upgrade to the original Apple Watch, with a faster processor and better water resistance.

The second, likely to be called Watch 2, will have a bigger battery. This will allow it to run more resource-hungry apps without being drained halfway through a day.

Apps expected by KGI Securities include a barometer and GPS tracking to give more precise location information.

It is also rumoured that Apple will introduce LTE connectivity to its Watach next year. That’ll mean you can use the Watch without needing to connect to a phone or Wi-Fi.
