Anne Klein fashion house regeneration feeds through to watch collections

American fashion house Anne Klein has injected new energy into the branded watches made under its license.

Caggie Bradford, Anne Klein’s vice-president of licensing, has taken a key role in working more closely with its long term licensing partner, E. Gluck in New York, and demanded that the watches are brought up to date.

“The new watches are spare and mod,” the brand explains in an article for the Washington Post.

The focus on upgrading Anne Klein watches is part of a broader overhaul of the fashion brand under Sharon Lombardo, a designer who joined the business as creative director in 2015.

Erika Piik, E. Gluck’s director of marketing says that the new focus is a welcome development that will bring a more coherent vision for what Anne Klein represents across apparel and accessories.

“We were guided more by the marketplace . . . and less by an overarching vision of the brand,” Ms Piik said.

The new direction is far more exciting, Ms Piik believes. “To hear the manifesto, if you will, it’s very empowering of women,” she says.

Anne Klein watches is represented in the UK by TLKE, which has just introduced a new range of point of sale furniture that will reach stores in August and September.
