Accurist rejoins CMJ in time for next trade event

Accurist will be exhibiting at the Company of Master Jewellers next trade event in Birmingham in August after rejoining the buying group.

Accurist has rejoined the CMJ, following the British watch brand’s acquisition by Sekonda’s parent company, Time Products, last year.

CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said: “Accurist is an important high street watch brand in the UK and we are glad to have it back on board with us. I am sure that working in partnership with us will provide stronger business results for Accurist and for the many successful and proactive retailers within the CMJ membership.”

CMJ states that Accurist is now focused on product development, advertising investment and growing the brand’s integrity. This also includes a move to focus on the UK, growing relationships with independent retailers and investing in a major UK marketing campaign to drive sales.

Tony Leyland, Accurist sales manager, said: “We are looking forward very much to working with the CMJ’s highly professional member retailers to offer a newly developed Accurist range to UK consumers. We believe that the brand will give CMJ members the chance to talk about exciting developments in the British watch brand sector.”

The CMJ has also signed up SwissEmporio and Minster1949 as CMJ-approved watch suppliers, who will be showing for the first time at the CMJ trade event on 9th and 10th August.
