Muehle glashuette 29er zeigerdatum

50 Brands of Basel: Mühle-Glashütte

While Mühle-Glashütte gears up to present an entirely new family of watches within its offer at Baselworld, the German watch company has revealed details of its latest nautical model.

The 29er Zeigerdatum (hand date) presents hours, minutes and seconds using centrally mounted hands whilst a fourth, centrally mounted indicator with blue crescent moon tip points to the date scale printed on its pale blue chapter ring.

Named after a class of sailing dinghies, the 29er Zeigerdatum heralds Mühle-Glashütte’s nautical associations and reflects the quick, sporty and dynamic attributes of the class, which this year marks its 10th anniversary.

The watch exhibits a clear nautical colour scheme with navy blue textile strap, ice-grey dial and light blue date ring. As a point of difference the central second hand is picked out in vivid red.

The watch is powered by an SW 221-1 automatic movement with Mühle’s patented woodpecker neck regulator.
