AVI-8 has unveiled the first watch in its 2017 line up that will be seen for the first time at Baselworld.
The AVI-8 AV-4052 borrows its core design from the instrument panel and cockpit of the Hawker Hunter, a British fighter jet first flying in the 1950s.
The angled, off squared, shape echoes the key pieces of the Hunters own instrumentation. It sits in a 45mm stainless steel case housing a Japanese retrograde split time chronograph.
The dial itself is a perfectly designed assembly of indentations, tension rings and carefully positioned subdial frames that continue the look and feel of this watch as a piece of military instrumentation.
The watch comes with three colour choices of leather strap and six colour combinations on the dial including monochrome, grey on black and black on black.
The price is expected to be around £200.
