Movado has recreated its 1947 Movado Museum Watch for 2015.
The original timepiece was designed by Nathan George Howitt, who was inspired by the principal of time being measured according to the earth’s rotation.
His creation was an entirely numeral-free dial bearing only a 12 o’clock dot symbolising the sun at its zenith. Acclaimed for the purity of its design, this model went down in history as the Movado Museum Watch.
The 2015 version retains the original artistic simplicity of the dial with its dot at 12 o’clock, but is modernised with a tone-on-tone black lacquered dial that a subtle sense of depth.
